We’ve been getting questions about our hand sanitizer so here are some answers to your questions!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DOES ALL DAY PROTECT AGAINST NOROVIRUS AND OTHER VIRUSES?
We’ve been receiving this question frequently due to recent events. Due to FDA regulations for OTC products, All Day cannot make claims against specific viruses. The FDA issued a warning to Purell on 1/28/20, instructing them to stop making such claims - read more on the New York Times website!
But here is how All Day is different - the majority of hand sanitizers on the market only kill germs upon application. Once dry, you are vulnerable once more. Upon drying, All Day creates a 24hr, non-absorbing protective barrier that does not allow pathogens to adhere to your skin. So you are as protected as you can be, significantly reducing contact with illness-causing germs.
HOW DOES ALL DAY WORK?
The best way to think about it is All Day is like Rainex for your hands. When you see rain drops slide off a window shield that has Rainex--it’s similar to your hands having this surface protectant on them. Germs just can’t adhere to All Day-protected skin.
PATENTED TECHNOLOGY YOU SAY?
Our proprietary formula provides a long- lasting barrier that kills germs on contact, while other products release harsh chemicals to mutate invading pathogens. In addition to continued protection after drying, All Day prevents pathogens from becoming immune to other formulae defense (chemicals), which prevents super bugs and common illnesses.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN ALL DAY AND THE LEAD ALCOHOL-BASED HAND SANITIZER?
One application of All Day protects you….all day. The majority of hand sanitizer and foot sprays kill upon application, but is only effective when wet. Upon drying, All Day creates a protective barrier that creates an uninhabitable surface for germs and bacteria. Using All Day one time is equivalent to using other hand sanitizers over 1000 times in one day!
HAS THIS BEEN CLINICALLY PROVEN?
Yes, we have done repeated patch testing, abrasion testing, ASTM validation, HETCAM studies, and completed a safety study ISO cytoxic report. Our formula has not resulted in adverse events, and does not indicate a potential for dermal irritation or allergic contact sensitization. All Day was given a 100% “non-irritating” classification. After years of studies on a variety of skin types and surfaces, we are proud to be hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and 100% non toxic.
WHAT IS THE MAIN ACTIVE INGREDIENT?
Benzalkonium Chloride (BZK) is an alcohol-free antibacterial compound that has been widely used for more than 60 years in an extremely broad range of applications. It is an excellent choice as a leave on-skin antiseptic to guard against infection in minor cuts, scrapes and burns.
Unlike alcohol and alcohol derivatives, BZK is easily metabolized in the human body and has a high efficacy. This is why it is used in products such as eye drops, nose drops, ear drops, spermicides, and many women’s personal care products. You probably have used it if you have ever applied Neosporin!
IS ALL DAY SAFE FOR CHILDREN?
Yes, All Day is safe for all ages. All Day is 100% non-toxic.
SHOULD I APPLY ALL DAY MORE THAN ONCE A DAY?
All Day’s protection is clinically proven to last up to 24 hours, or through 10 washes. It never hurts to re-apply, especially after high-sweat activities, or extreme heat or cold environments where your skin cells are shedding more often. People with careers such as nurses and mechanics may re-apply halfway through the day due to high volume of handwashing.
DOES ALL DAY AFFECT HAND FUNCTION AT ALL?
All Day bonds to the skin in such a way that allows the skin to breathe normally and continue producing its own oil and sweat.
